Jim Briggs is a musician and singer/songwriter, playing in the folk, Americana and outlaw country genres. He cites Dwight Yoakam, Jim Croce, Colin Hay, and Johnny Cash as influences.
In addition to his solo work, Jim is a member of the Irish/Americana band “Shades of Green” (Apple Music / Spotify). He was a founding member of the 70s-80s One-Hit-Wonder tribute band “Wonderland” and a supporting player for the alt-rock band “The Nerve”. These days, he specializes in acoustic country, Americana, and folk music, with maybe a little rock and roll from time to time.

- Shared the stage at Philadelphia’s famed Tin Angel with Colin Hay (though not on the same night)
- Once a warmup act for Johnny Bravo himself, Barry Williams. (“I was there as a handler for a dog fashion show and not as a musician, but I think it still counts!”)
On the radio
Maybe it's a sign of how old I really am, but I could not be more excited to hear one of my songs on the radio. Yes, streams are great and I certainly appreciate those, but there's something special about radio; someone deciding to play your song for others. On March...
The Good Fight
The Good Fight is a song that I began a while ago and put away for a bit. It's a bit of a melancholy song, and maybe not what I really wanted to follow up Homecoming with, but it's a song that really has been on my mind recently and one that I wanted to finally...
Homecoming
Homecoming is a new recording of a song that only existed before in bootleg form. I hope you enjoy it!
Ain’t Too Bright
An all-new (well, not really all-new, but the bass and drums are new) version of Ain’t Too Bright just posted on Sound Cloud. Check it out!
About the song: The Fugitive
There’s one thing that The Fugitive has in common with other songs I wrote around the same time is that the title of the song doesn’t actually appear in the song. As a music listener, I hate when people do that. I mean, if I mentioned the songs Funk #49, Rainy Day...
